This is a most unusual paragraph. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary, you’d think nothing was wrong with it. Actually, nothing is wrong with it, but it is not as ordinary as you think. If you think about it for a bit you will find what is truly unusual. So what is it?

Riddle 2: Ben walked into a hardware store and asked the price of some items. The salesman said: “One costs $1, eight costs $1, seventeen costs $2, one hundred and four costs $3, one thousand and seventy two costs $4.” What was Ben buying?
